Representatives of the countries of the CIS and Mongolia gathered in Minsk to study the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting

Representatives of the countries of the CIS and Mongolia gathered in Minsk to study the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus reports. The National Statistics Committee plays host to the training course on the SEEA Central Framework Energy Accounts for the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Mongolia. The forum has been organized by the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) with the support of the bureau of statistics of Norway.
The SEEA Central Framework was adopted as the international standard for environmental-economic accounts at the 43rd session of the United Nations Statistical Commission in March 2012. The system combines statistical data on environment, power consumption, and social and demographic situation in the country. It provides a basis for making decisions related to green economy and sustainable development.
