Belarus may join Bologna Process


      Belarus has submitted a package of documents for joining the Bologna Process, First Deputy Education Minister Vadim Bogush told reporters at the international conference “Higher technical education: problems and ways of development”, BelTA reports. The package of documents was submitted to corresponding agencies for consideration. According to the first deputy education minister, educational institutions took measures to differentiate education terms, turn the master’s degree course into a separate program. Besides, Belarusian universities have direct students’ self-government.
      The international conference “Higher technical education: problems and ways of development” is held in the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR). Partaking in the forum are over 400 representatives from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia, Turkmenistan and the United States. Participants of the conference discuss development prospects of distant education, involvement of social networks in the education process, problems of higher education in Belarus.
