A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will pay an official visit to Veliky Novgorod on 4-5 October.

         A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will pay an official visit to Veliky Novgorod on 4-5 October. The Union State MPs are set to meet with Novgorod Oblast Governor Sergei Mitin and Chairperson of the Novgorod Oblast Duma Yelena Pisareva.
A session of the Commission for Economic Policy of the Parliamentary Assembly will be held during the visit. Taking part in the session will be Novgorod Oblast officials, representatives of ministries and government bodies of Belarus and Russia and the Union State Permanent Committee.
The participants of the session will discuss implementation of the 2010-2013 action plan to promote socioeconomic, sci-tech and humanitarian cooperation between Belarus and Novgorod Oblast. The document signed in July 2010 outlines the major trends of the bilateral relations. It envisages close cooperation in agriculture, forestry, construction, manufacturing industry and transport, as well as culture, art, tourism, etc.
