Russian company suggests concrete manufacturing project to Belarus


         The group of companies Penetron Russia has suggested creating a factory in Belarus to make concrete products and additives to improve the quality of concrete, BelTA qoutes Mikhail Myatlikov, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Negotiations with the Russian company took place during the visit of a Belarusian delegation to Russia’s Sverdlovsk region. Top executives of the Russian company are expected to visit Gomel region soon. The region is rich in sands fit to make the additives. If the sands are okay, the Russian company will be able to import mixture concentrates to Belarus to make end products in the country. The Russian company’s delegation is also expected to visit Mogilev region where concrete factories are located, said Mikhail Myatlikov. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is now busy coordinating the date of arrival of the Russian delegation.
       It is yet unclear whether the project will be implemented as a Belarusian-Russian joint venture or a foreign-owned company.
