Petrishenko to chair EEC Council meeting on 22 January

The first meeting of 2025 of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Council with the participation of deputy prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union member states will be held on 22 January. It will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko of Belarus, BelTA learned from the EEC press service.


The meeting is set to consider a draft agreement on administrative cooperation in services related to the production and distribution of cinema and video films, and film demonstration services. They will also consider the status of a pilot project to introduce a traceability mechanism for goods imported into the customs territory of the EAEU, and the amendment of the methodology for calculating and imposing fines for violation of general rules of competition in cross-border markets.


In the transport sector, the deputy prime minister are expected to analyze the measures taken by the EAEU countries to develop railway, road and port infrastructure included in the Eurasian transport corridors (routes) and to consider the concept of improving the interaction of intelligent transport systems of the EAEU states within the EAEU.

A number of items on the agenda relate to technical regulation.
