In honor of the 50th anniversary of the birth of the legendary hockey player Ruslan Salei, Minsk Watch Factory Luch unveiled a new collection of watches.

In his honor, we have produced a limited collection of times pieces  which is called ‘Ruslan Salei’," Head of the Marketing Department of the plant Olga Antishina said. "We invited his elder brother Vadim over to give him a watch with Ruslan Salei's jersey number 24."

The chrome-plated case is available in two options: silver and black. The dial is shaped as an ice arena. The collection is limited to 200 pieces.

The Ruslan Salei children’s sports school of Olympic reserve was set up in 2020 by merging two hockey schools: the  school of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Minsk sports club,” director Maksim Shimansky said. “It was a great idea. At the time our school is the largest in the Republic of Belarus. We, the school administration, coaches, teachers, children, are aware of the huge responsibility as the school bear the name of the great athlete and person, on and off the ice.

“He was a leader, an inspirational athlete. In 2024, Ruslan Salei could have turned 50. I am sure that he would be happy and proud to see a well-functioning school in Minsk named in his honor," Maksim Shimansky added.
