Belarus against getting involved in wars

They want us to get involved in a war but we do not need the war. Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Neverovsky made the statement as a new complex of the border guard station Borovoye of the Mozyr border guard detachment was opened in Lelchitsy District, Gomel Oblast on 14 March, BelTA has learned.

The border guard station Borovoye is in charge of protecting over 45km of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.

Aleksandr Neverovsky recalled the task formulated by Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko: all the defense, security, and law enforcement agencies have to ensure peace and stability in Belarus’ territory. “Since you are at the forefront of defense of our national interests, you have to always be vigilant. The head of state pointed it out as he signed the decision on protecting the state border this year,” the official told the border service personnel.

The deputy state secretary of the Security Council also described the complicated situation along Belarus’ borders. “Today they want us to get involved in a war but we do not need the war. This is why we should always be ready to defend the country against an aggressor. Our citizens have to sleep calmly and work for the benefit of their families, their nation, and the state. The border service personnel are entrusted with a great responsibility of accomplishing these tasks because border guarding has always been the purview of those, who are strong in spirit, brave, tenacious, and courageous,” Aleksandr Neverovsky noted. He congratulated the local border service personnel on inaugurating the new complex and wished them every success.
