“The outgoing year was productive in terms of legislative activity. We have adopted about 100 bills. These are the laws that are aimed primarily at ensuring national security, economic development and social welfare of our citizens. The number one priority for the parliament was to bring the legislation in line with the Constitution. As a result, two new bills have been drafted – On the Belarusian People's Congress and On the Fundamentals of Civil Society. As many as 83 laws have been brought into compliance. Today we are also adopting two important laws, thus completing this large-scale work. Today Belarus ensures all necessary legal framework in place for the local elections, elections to the Council of the Republic and the Belarusian People's Congress has been created,” Vladimir Andreichenko said.

According to him, the House of Representatives is considering about 20 new bills. MPs will be working in the constituencies and will be actively engaged in the election campaign. The task for all MPs is to step up work for the development of the country and its security.

MPs will also take an active part in the country's charity campaigns Our Children and With All Heart.
