A cultural festival Japanese Autumn in Belarus has opened with an expo in Polotsk.
An exhibition "Traditions and Culture of Japan" will give a start to the new project at the Polotsk Local History Museum. Attending the official opening ceremony will be Charge d’Affaires ad Interim of Japan to Belarus Shigehiro Mimori.
Minsk will celebrate the festival with its11th edition of the national competition on the best oral presentation in the Japanese language. Shigehiro Mimori will take part of the jury.
The festival which will run through November will feature a great amount of events aimed at the presentation of traditional and modern Japanese culture, its music, dance, decorative and animation art. The guests of the festival will be able to attend expos, concerts, film screening as well as lectures and master-classes of Japanese specialists.
Events will include a performance of a Japanese ensemble from the city of Sendai, an exhibition of the fund “Modern Japanese Design”. The events will be open to everyone who is interested in the culture and traditions of that country.
