Bykhov named one of Belarus’ major tourism destinations

Bykhov lays a claim to become one of the major tourism destinations in Belarus, Belarusian Vice Premier Anatoly Tozik told media. The official chaired a session of the National Organizing Committee tasked with the preparation for and holding of the Belarusian Literature Day. Bykhov is an old town which boasts rich history and culture. There are many splendid monuments of architecture, including in some way unique Bykhov Castle and a synagogue which restoration has been started in the run-up to the Belarusian Literature Day. All in all, over 100 social infrastructure buildings will be renovated prior to the celebration. Many of them will be given modern appearance and adorn the district center.
“It is important to note that the renovation of objects is not tied merely to the celebration. On the contrary, it is needed for the town’s development and people. Here we speak about the renovated district center of culture, a new swimming pool and a cinema. Other buildings such as a railway station, a bus station and a number of other objects will be renovated in order to benefit the people for many years to come,” Anatoly Tozik said.
