Classic British vocational training is now available in Belarus.

The statement was made by Vadim Titov, Executive Director of Magna Carta College Oxford, during the video conference held to highlight new opportunities for Belarusians to get English vocational training. It was made possible thanks to the establishment of Magna Carta College Oxford’s examination center at premises of the Business Education Center of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The examination center is certified for compliance with the education standards ABE/ABP. Thus, Belarus was the first post-Soviet country among over 80 countries, which students are offered the opportunity of getting highly specialized and practice-oriented vocational training based on ABE and ABP certificates from the British college. Vadim Titov believes the implementation of the project is extremely topical for Belarus, in particular, as part of the efforts to resolve the problem of training bookkeeping and financial accounting specialists in compliance with IFRS standards because those are few and far between in Belarus. Meanwhile, Belarus will undoubtedly expand the practice of issuing various shares, bonds, and notes via foreign stock exchanges. It will not be possible without specialists able to act correctly in line with international standards.
