The Belarusian women’s football club Bobruichanka have been defeated in the second qualifying game of the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification.Manager Nikolai Kasatkin’s side succumbed to a 1-3 defeat against Slovenia’s ZNK Pomurje Beltinci. In the opening match of the Women’s Champions League qualification in Group 5 FC Bobruichanka saw off Albania’s Ada Velipoje 3-1.
Group 5 standings after two matchdays are as follows: Unia Raciborz (Poland) 6 points (goal difference 10-1), Pomurje Beltinci 3 (4-4), Bobruichanka 3 (4-4) and Ada Velipoje 0 (1-10). Winners of eight qualifying groups and two best second-placed collectives will progress to the last 32 round.
Belarus were successful at the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship. After the first-tour defeat against Belgium (0-3) Belarus celebrated two victories, over Slovenia 4-3 and Lithuania 4-0.
In qualifying Group 7 Belgium topped the table with nine points (goal difference 13-0), Belarus (8-6) and Slovenia (11-9) both earned six points, Lithuania propping up the table with 0 points (0-17). Belarus and Belgium advanced to the next qualifying round.
