Belarus, Ryazan Oblast to run new projects in mechanical engineering

Belarus will implement more projects in mechanical engineering with Ryazan region of Russia, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko said as he visited Ryazan MAZ Service. Ryazan region has already completed a joint project to start manufacturing sanitation trucks mounted on the chassis of Minsk Automobile Plant. At present the parties are mulling over the establishment of a joint venture to produce buses in the new special economic zone Ryazan. Igor Petrishenko noted that his visit to Ryazan MAZ Service is part of the policy of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to coordinate the commodity distribution network. “We need customer feedback and suggestions regarding machines manufactured in Belarus. All suggestions will be processed and forwarded to MAZ top executives. This way we will help our machines to stay competitive,” Igor Petrishenko said.
“Among the most common suggestions are arranging supplies of passenger vehicles, not only trucks,” Director General of Ryazan MAZ Service Dmitry Volchkov said. This suggestion might be materialized in the near future. Igor Petrishenko informed that a corresponding agreement has already been reached with the Ryazan region Governor.
