Palestinian culture celebrated in Minsk

     The House of Friendship in Minsk has hosted an event to mark the Day of Palestinian Culture, BelTA has learned. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Belarus Khalid Ariqat thanked the Belarusian party for organizing the event to celebrate Palestinian culture in the House of Friendship. “This is a token of love for the Palestinian nation and its culture,” the ambassador noted and stressed that plans are in place to arrange similar cultural events in the Belarusian language. Chairman of the Belarus-Palestine association Yuri Bondar spoke about the importance of showcasing Palestinian art and hailed a reverential attitude of the nation to culture. “Today we pay tribute to the national culture that has absorbed the achievements of countless generations and represents the rich national palette,” he stressed. The event in the House of Friendship featured a concert of Palestinian dances and songs.
