Meat and dairy enterprises that use Belarusian technologies and raw materials may be set up in Oryol region, Russia. The information was released by the press service of the Oryol region government after a Belarusian delegation met with region Governor Alexander Kozlov. The delegation was led by Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats. “We’ve had a constructive talk,” the official said. “Decisions were made to build joint business for the sake of developing the food zone. Providing Oryol region and adjacent territories with food is the idea. This is why we suggested building a milk-processing enterprise in Oryol region for the sake of later on making ready-made products using a Belarusian technology and Belarusian raw materials. Apart from that, we discussed matters relevant for meat processing using Belarusian technologies at the enterprise that will be built in Oryol region through joint effort. These intentions are the foundation of our further mutual relations”. In turn, Alexander Kozlov remarked that Oryol region and Belarus have a long history of relations
“We have many examples of mutually beneficial cooperation. Primarily in agriculture,” said the Governor. The press service also said that Oryol region is also interested in buying Belarusian specialized machines for agriculture, municipal services, housing and public utilities.
