A collection of Belarusian publications was handed over to the National Library of Moldova.

  Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Anatoly Kalinin solemnly handed over to the National Library of the Republic of Moldova a collection of Belarusian publications (83 books) prepared by the National Library of Belarus, as well as 44 books from the Writers' Union of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian diplomatic mission said.

Anatoly Kalinin highly appreciated the level of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Moldova, which is based on mutual respect, support and friendship. During the ceremony, the ambassador stressed his interest in further developing cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and other spheres. He expressed confidence that this event will contribute to strengthening international ties and raising the level of cultural interaction between the peoples of the two countries.

Since 2010, the National Library of Belarus, together with the Ministry of Culture, has been successfully implementing the international project "Belarus Today": collections of Belarusian books have been donated to 23 largest libraries in the world. The collection includes the best literary and artistic, scientific, popular science publications, encyclopedias, reference books and photo albums.
