All Belarusian tennis players have finished their Wimbledon campaign, Max Mirnyi being the last Belarusian to make the tournament exit.
Max Mirnyi’s hopes of winning something at the 127th Wimbledon tournament were extinguished after the loss in the mixed doubles round of 32. Max Mirnyi and Czechia’s Andrea Hlavackova have been condemned to a 6:7 (3:7), 3:6 defeat by the international duo Jean-Julien Rojer (the Netherlands) / Vera Dushevina (Russia).
On the women’s side, the best Belarusian tennis player, world number two Victoria Azarenka pulled out of the Wimbledon tournament on 26 June due to knee injury which she picked up in the second set of the first-round match against Portugal’s Maria Joao Koehler (107) on 24 June. Back then, Victoria Azarenka managed to finish the game despite the injury to celebrate a 6-1, 6-2 victory.
