Russia’s Kaluga Oblast eager to hire Belarusian construction workers

Kaluga Oblast of Russia is interested in getting Belarusian construction workers involved in major infrastructure projects, including housing construction. The information was released by the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia after the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko with Kaluga Oblast Governor Anatoly Artamonov in Kaluga.

 

The meeting discussed the state and prospects of advancing cooperation between Belarus and Kaluga Oblast. Igor Petrishenko informed about investment and export capabilities of the Belarusian economy and suggested several joint projects for implementation to the receiving side. He drew attention of the Kaluga Oblast administration to new lineups of Belarus-made passenger vehicles, which presentation had been a success in Russian regions. The Ambassador also spoke highly of the potential of cooperation of the Belarusian holding company Autocomponents with enterprises of the region in conditions of the Customs Union.

 

Igor Petrishenko confirmed the interest of the Belarusian side in assimilating cutting-edge experience of Kaluga Oblast in attracting foreign direct investments and in training specialists in the city of Obninsk for the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
