Russia will host an international youth tent camp Druzhba at the border of the Gomel, Bryansk and Chernihiv oblasts in 2014. The decision was taken at the end of this year’s forum which was held at the border of three Slavic countries.
It is expected that the next youth cam will be dedicated to the Sochi Olympic Games. The program will feature contests and sports tournaments.
This year’s forum was hosted by Ukraine and was timed to the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Russia. The forum gathered over 2,000 young people from the Gomel, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Bryansk oblasts, Moscow and other cities.
The program of the forum was very interesting and eventful. The four-day forum featured a town of craftsmen, which showcased the products of the best young designers of Gomel Oblast, winners and prize-holders of international fashion festivals. Guests and participants of the youth camp had an opportunity to partake in master classes in pottery, bead, straw and wooden product making, decorative and applied arts. Roundtables highlighted such issues as youth creativity, leadership skills, etc.
