The House of Representatives has been bolstering ties with colleagues from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko said when closing the second session of the fifth legislature.
He recalled the visit of the Belarusian delegation to Cambodia in February this year. In turn Belarus MPs traveled to Indonesia and Singapore. The House of Representatives hosted negotiations with Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung. He also said that in September Brunei will host the 34th ASEAN Inter Parliamentary Assembly General Assembly: "The issues of our participation in this prestigious international forum are in the works".
According to the Speaker, there are good prospects in relations with India. Not so long ago, Belarus welcomed a parliamentary delegation of that country. "We signed a cooperation agreement with Indian counterparts," recalled Vladimir Andreichenko.
In addition, the Belarusian MPs took part in the inaugural events for the Presidents of Armenia and Ecuador
