The Belarusian national track and field team will compete at the 2013 European Athletics Team Championships Super League in Gateshead, Great Britain. The Belarusian athletes will partake in 40 events at the tournament, we learnt from the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Belarus (NOC).
The team have already departed for Great Britain. A task has been set for Belarus to finish among the top nine out of twelve nations, which will guarantee Belarus’ right to compete in the Super League in 2014. Participating in the tournament are the teams of Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Spain, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and France. Three teams in the bottom of the overall table (places from 10 to 12) will be relegated from the Super League of the European Athletics Team Championships.
