Belarus is particularly interested in expanding cooperation in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries with Switzerland, First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vyacheslav Reut has said after signing an agreement to establish the Belarusian-Swiss Business Council.
“The entire world knows Swiss medicines. I think the Council will focus on starting new companies, because the experience of Stadler Rail Group in Belarus has revealed that foreign investors can run a successful business here,” Vyacheslav Reut said.
In his words, Switzerland is an important trading partner of Belarus. A number of joint projects are implemented in Belarus together with Swiss partners, including Stadler Rail Group that is running projects in the railway industry.
Vyacheslav Reut noted that the Belarusian-Swiss Business Council has been set up to consider and analyze potential joint projects and to bring interested companies to the Belarusian market.
