Christianization of Rus anniversary called a good reason to highlight Christian values

         The 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kievan Rus is a good reason to think about the history of Belarus and Christian values, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vyacheslav Danilovich said prior to the international conference timed to the anniversary of this historical event.
          Attending the forum are 35 Doctors of Science and over 80 Candidates of Science. About 170 scientists from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Poland will deliver their reports. These are not only historians, but also sociologists, theologians and art experts.

         “The anniversary must unite the entire Christian community. This is one of good occasions to draw attention to Christian values, to the history of our country and the history of our neighboring brotherly states. 1,025 years is a huge period of time, an entire epoch associated with Christianity in Belarus. This pertains to the history of the brotherly nations of Ukraine and Russia, which representatives are taking part in the conference”.
