In anticipation of Victory Day President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to foreign leaders, statesmen and heads of integration associations.
“The heroic deed of the Soviet people who defended the freedom and independence of their Motherland and saved the world from fascism will be always remembered by the generations of people. I am convinced that brotherly friendship of our peoples which has stood the most difficult tests of the Great Patriotic War will further contribute to sustainable and all-round development of the Belarusian-Russian relations based on unity and strategic partnership,” the message of greetings sent to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin reads.
Alexander Lukashenko has also sent letters of greetings to Presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
The Belarusian head of state has also sent greetings to Head of the Russian President Administration Sergei Ivanov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Chairman of the Executive Council – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev, Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolai Bordyuzha.
