Belarus, Singapore to boost cooperation in economy, investments

        Belarus and Singapore will intensify cooperation in economy, finance and investments, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei told reporters after his meeting with top officials of the Foreign Ministry of Singapore.
He noted that Belarus would like to know the secret behind Singapore’s economic success.

       “Taking into consideration that we have similar economies, and Singapore exports about 70-80% of its products, we are very much interested in Singapore’s practices to promote export.
We agreed that Belarus and Singapore should learn more about the experience of transformations and reforms in the other country. We share the view that the visit of the Belarusian President to Singapore is of great importance
       Belarus can supply petrochemical products, machine tools, electronics, metals and other products to Singapore.  There are good prospects to ramp up cooperation in information technologies.  We export software products to Singapore. However, we do not make the most of our cooperation opportunities. We have a lot to do in this field”.
