President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held talks in Jakarta.
The heads of state discussed the most important matters of the bilateral agenda and cooperation prospects in the manufacturing industry, agriculture, science, education, culture, defense and investments. Belarus seeks to deepen cooperation with Southeast Asia. Indonesia is among the key players in the region and might help Belarus promote its interests in this vast region.
The two countries have plans to set up manufacturing and agricultural companies in Indonesia. These companies will sell their products both in Indonesia and other countries of the region.
According to First Vice Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, members of Belarus’ official delegation have signed a number of contracts and agreements to supply Belarusian machinery to Indonesia and concluded memoranda formalizing the two countries’ intension to expand cooperation.

Belarus will supply to Indonesia 50 MAZ dump trucks, 20 BelAZ dump trucks and 20 tractors. The agreement was reached during a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Indonesia. The signing of the relevant contracts took place in Jakarta during the Belarusian-Indonesian business forum.According to the agreement, Belarus is expected to supply 500 MAZ dump trucks more within the next three years and nearly 600 MTZ tractors within the next two years. Belarus is also interested in supplying its road and construction, cargo vehicles and crush mills to Indonesia.
