EBRD points out Belarus economy stabilization

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development pointed out significant progress in stabilizing the economy of Belarus. This was discussed at bilateral consultations by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Mikhnevich and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Sergei Aleinik with the management of the Bank. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was attended by its First Vice-President Philip Bennett, directors Olivier Descamps, Alan Rousso, Paul-Henri Forestier.
Participants of the meetings and discussions looked into the progress made in developing the draft strategy for Belarus for the next three years, considered a number of programs implemented by the Bank in Belarus. Also, they discussed the current macroeconomic situation and prospects for future cooperation.
Representatives of international organizations highlighted significant progress in stabilizing the economy of Belarus, and noted that the work on the development of a strategy aimed at drafting a balanced document that would satisfy the interests of all stake-holders.
