BelTA News Agency has become a laureate of the annual contest for the best media coverage of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
The news agency picked up awards in three nominations, including “Close and Fruitful Cooperation”, “Professionalism and Journalistic Excellence” and “Stop the Moment”. Awards were also presented to representatives of central and regional mass media outlets in 17 nominations and four categories – print media, radio, television and information agencies.
In his speech at the award ceremony Defense Minister Yuri Zhadobin noted that it is symbolic that that contest was held in the run-up to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 95th anniversary of the Armed Forces, “the holidays that are marked by the entire nation, the holidays celebrating patriotism of the Belarusian people”. “Patriotic upbringing and military training are essential for enhancing national security of the country. The cooperation between the Armed Forces and mass media in this important mission has been efficient and fruitful,” Yuri Zhadobin said.
