The event has brought together about 400 participants aging from 5 to 80 from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Azerbaijan. Chess players will demonstrate their skills in the age groups, take part in the ranking tournament, where, depending on their performance the contestants can improve their positions in the overall rankings. Competitions will be held in line with Swiss system - in nine rounds. In addition, international masters will take part in a special competition for professionals.
The tournament will be held throughout the week. These days will be best remembered by the participants not only for sharp intellectual battles, but the exciting sightseeing trips to memorable places of Orsha district. The awards ceremony will be held on January 27.
