MTZ urged to advance to new markets

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) should advance and penetrate new growing markets to sell tractors. Prime Minister of Belarus Mr Mikhail Myasnikovich made the statement as he introduced new MTZ Director General Mr Vladimir Volchok before the company employees.
Exporting more is a key task MTZ should focus on. “The practice demands that the export policy should be built in a slightly different way,” remarked Mikhail Myasnikovich. “The market is getting tighter with every passing day. Therefore, the competitive ability should be raised several times over,” remarked the Prime Minister. Quality, price, and service should be the main components of the competitive ability of MTZ. The Prime Minister drew attention to the maintenance service of tractors. “Customers don’t want just a machine, they want maintenance service, too,” he said. Therefore, MTZ should seriously think about the development of the maintenance service of tractors abroad.
The company will also have to enhance its distribution network. Intellectual and manufacturing resources should be shifted to this sphere. It is important to establish a foothold on new growing markets via export loans and the establishment of joint ventures, said Mikhail Myasnikovich
