U.S., Belarus may discuss mutual return of ambassadors this year

         The United States may discuss with Belarus mutual return of ambassadors this year, Charge d’Affaires Scott Rauland told media after the official ceremony to unveil a commemorative plaque for Ruth Waller in a Minsk secondary school, BelTA reports. According to the diplomat, the return of the U.S. Ambassador to Belarus would be a good step forward in the development of relations between the two countries. In turn, Belarus Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei noted that the work is underway to help the countries conduct a full-fledged dialogue between the embassies. “We and the United States are currently at the level of gradual expansion of positive atmosphere in our relations,” Vladimir Makei said.
