Public private partnership bill concept in Council of Ministers of Belarus

      The Belarusian Economy Ministry has submitted the concept of the bill on public private partnership projects to the Council of Ministers.
      The concept had been approved by interested government agencies and business associations without remarks. The developers have taken into account recommendations of international experts of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, which cooperates with the Economy Ministry as part of the action plan to introduce public private partnership in Belarus. The concept had been polished taking into account remarks and proposals voiced by the Belarus President Administration.
      The document is primarily designed to enable conditions to foster public private partnership in Belarus, encourage investments into the national economy, enable the effective use of the state-owned property, and increase the quality of products, works, and services available to the Belarusians. The bill envisages regulating relations when making investments on the basis of public private partnership projects.
