Elena Chichkan of Belarus took the title of the vice-champion in the 53kg category at the Junior and Under 23 European Weightlifting Championships in Eilat, Israel.
The Belarusian lifted a total of 195kg (90kg in the snatch + 105 in the clean and jerk). Elena Chichkan also took two silver medals in the clean and jerk.
Gold of the Junior European Championships went to Yulia Ripinskaya of Belarus (under 48kg). She pressed a total of 154kg (67kg in the snatch + 87 in the clean and jerk). She improved her personal record by 4kg.
Stanislav Chadovich (under 62kg) finished fourth lifting a total of 275kg (127+148).
The Junior and Under 23 European Weightlifting Championships in Eilat, Israel, will complete on 9 December. Belarus is represented by 15 athletes in the junior category and three in the under 23 category.
