The information was released by Mr Danial Akhmetov, Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, after the first session of the Advisory Committee for Electric Power Industry under the Eurasian Economic Commission. Danial Akhmetov chaired the session. According to Danial Akhmetov, the best specialists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia have been invited to get involved in forming the common energy market, therefore, the work can be done rather fast. “We believe it will be done by 1 January 2015,” said Danial Akhmetov. The Committee discussed the development of the concept and main regulations of the program to create the common electricity market. The Committee also discussed the specification of requirements to develop the draft concept for forming the common electricity market in the Single Economic Space.
