Belarus better Internet coverage in foreign languages needed

It is necessary to create systemic information resources in foreign languages in Belarus. The statement was made by Mr Andrei Savinykh, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
According to the Press Secretary, while Russian is used in Belarus for interethnic communication, English is used much more rarely. Apart from that it is necessary to advertise them.
Andrei Savinykh underlined that it is necessary to focus on the following targeted groups: business circles (partners and investors), potential tourists (those, who are ready to travel to Belarus), and socially active groups of people, who are not indifferent towards international events or certain topics like environmental protection, fight against terrorism and so on. “When we looked into what we can offer to the targeted audiences, the structure of the action program started emerging,” explained the Foreign Ministry representative.
Every year over two thousand events are held abroad, in which Belarus takes part. Those are investment forums, culture days, specialized expos, conferences and so on. Today’s main goal is getting maximum results at minimal costs, added Andrei Savinykh.
