Economy should be the foundation of cooperation between regions of Tajikistan and Belarus. The opinion was voiced by Radzhabali Radzhabov, deputy head of the Khatlon region administration of Tajikistan, in Gomel. He is the head of the official delegation that stays in Gomel region, BelTA reports.
According to the deputy head of the Khatlon region administration, there are number of areas, cooperation in which can be of mutual interest. For instance, Gomel enterprises could use Tajik cotton while Tajikistan could use agricultural machines. During the visit the Tajik side would like to learn about the experience of dairy animal husbandry in Belarus. “At the same time cooperation in education, in particular, increasing the number of our students in universities in Gomel region, is very important for us,” he said. While in Belarus the Tajik delegation is expected to visit several agricultural enterprises.
Negotiations with representatives of the Gomel Oblast administration and the oblast branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have been scheduled.
