Belarus is expected to partake in the 2nd world artistic holograms exhibition Holography 2012 in Astana on 5-18 December. The exposition will display over 150 works from 20 countries.
Holographic studios and collectors from various countries are ready to put on display in Kazakhstan their holograms, some of which cost thousands of U.S. dollars. Portraits of people, animals, fantastic landscapes, spacecrafts, dancing fairies will vivify in a three-dimensional display. Kazakhstan will be presented by holograms showing the symbols of Astana. Alongside with the opening of the exhibition, an international symposium on holography will be held with the participation of outstanding scientists.
Among the organizers of the exhibition are Astana Innovations, Holding Parasat, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Belarusian companies Magiya Sveta and Holography Industry.
Artistic holography is a new-generation art. Salvador Dali was one of the first to use holography for artistic purposes. He created a hologram Alice Cooper’s Brain which was displayed in New York in 1972.
