Bellegprom Concern is working to expand into the market of Latin America, deputy chairperson of the concern Lyudmila Tyaglova reports.
“This is a very promising market, given the friendly relations between our country and Venezuela,” she said. According to Lyudmila Tyaglova, now the concern is also looking to build up the presence in China. In recent years, concern has expanded into the markets of Mongolia, Greece, Brazil, and Japan. Currently, export accounts for about 50% of total output of Bellegprom. Belarusian goods are sold in 48 countries around the world.
Lyudmila Tyaglova noted that Bellegprom is working to increase exports, especially fabrics rather than finished products. Next year the target is to increase exports by 15% over 2012. "We do not need to hurry in building up exports of clothing, shoes. Because we leave the domestic market, and others will come," she said.
With regard to the footwear industry, Bellegprom persists with its initiative to set up a center of light industry at OJSC Luch. “We have not given up on this idea. More so that there is a relevant instruction from the head of state,” said Lyudmila Tyaglova.
