Belarusian Max Mirnyi and Romanian Horia Tecau lost the opening match of the U.S. Open.

The Belarusian - Romanian tandem seeded 13th gave in to Argentine - Uruguayan duo Horacio Zeballos / Pablo Cuevas - 2:6 , 5:7.

Now Mirnyi will try to succeed in the mixed doubles competition, where his partner is Czech tennis player Andrea Hlavackova . In the first round the Belarusian- Czech pair, 7th seeded, is to meet with representatives of the USA Caitlin Kristen and Denis Novikov.
