The universal website for Belarusian mass media will go fully operational this year. The information was released by First Deputy Information Minister of Belarus Lilia Ananich at a roundtable session held in Grodno. The session gathered representatives of the Belarusian Union of Journalists and delegations of reporters from Ukraine.
The Information Ministry is nearly finished developing the universal website for Belarusian mass media. Once fully operational, it is supposed to enable any newspaper, TV and radio channel, news agency to use the website. It will be the place to easily find all the projects that Belarusian mass media produce as well as blogs of reporters. There are plans to allow online subscriptions for editions.
First Deputy Information Minister of Belarus Lilia Ananich told participants of the session that one cannot but notice the development of new media technologies in Belarus. The media field in the country is undergoing large-scale changes.
The roundtable session took place at premises of the newspaper Grodzenskaya Prauda as part of a media trip arranged for about 20 Ukrainian reporters to Grodno Oblast.
