Belarus to encounter Kyrgyzstan in friendly match 6 September

        The Belarusian national football team will play a friendly match against Kyrgyzstan on 6 September as part of the preparation to the 2014 World Cup qualifying home match versus France, reads the official website of the Belarusian Football Federation.
        The Belarus vs. Kyrgyzstan tie will be held at the Torpedo stadium in Zhodino. Kyrgyzstan are occupying 137th place in FIFA world ranking, while Belarus are 78th.
In summer 2013 head coach Georgy Kondratyev’s Belarus are left to play one friendly. The game against Montenegro (28th in FIFA ranking) is scheduled for 14 August. On 15 October Belarus take on Japan in another friendly meeting.
        This year Belarus are set to play two last 2014 World Cup qualifying games. On 10 September they will encounter France at home with the last match to be played away against Spain on 11 October.
In the 2014 World Cup qualifying Group I Belarus have already played six games, four of which turned out to be defeats. In 2012 Belarus lost 0-1 against Georgia, 1-3 to France and were then solved 0-4 by Spain. This was followed by a 2-0 victory against Georgia in the return match at home. Two 2013 matches versus Finland saw Belarus gaining one point out of possible six. Having four points after six games, Belarus prop up qualifying Group I.
