Large industrial enterprises in Belarus are the most attractive assets for potential investors, First Deputy Chairman of the State Property Committee Sergei Pyatkov told media. According to Sergei Pyatkov, from time to time some investors, legal entities or even natural persons express interest in investing in some Belarusian enterprises.
“They call asking about the amounts of share packages, their value and sales terms and study the possibility of entering our market in the capacity of investors,” Sergei Pyatkov noted. These investors are from Belarus and abroad, including the CIS countries and the non-CIS ones, for example Turkey, Israel or Norway. “Large industrial wood processing or construction enterprises are most attractive for potential investors,” Sergei Pyatkov stressed.
With regard to shareholders of the open joint-stock companies Belgips and Krinitsa Sergei Pyatkov said that some groundwork has been carried out in Belgips’ case. However, he noted that no regulatory enactments have been signed with respect to any of these companies.
