Chairing the session will be Belarus’ Emergencies Minister Vladimir Vashchenko. CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha is set to attend the session, too.
The session will review a draft action plan to develop the collective emergency response system and discuss a draft mechanism to implement emergency response procedures in the CSTO member states. Another matter to come under discussion is a plan of military drills and other joint exercises aimed to bolster cooperation between the authorized bodies of the CSTO member counties for 2014.
The session participants will discuss the efforts of the emergencies ministries to create the single information and program space, the activities of the CSTO Coordinating Council for Emergencies and the implementation of its action plans for 2013.
