The CIS Executive Committee is hosting an extra meeting of a group of experts in Minsk to coordinate the CIS draft program on cooperation in combating illegal trade in drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and prevention of drug addiction.

The program designed for 2014-2018 is aimed at further improvement of cooperation between the CIS member states, and the relevant charter bodies against illegal trade in drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and prevention of drug addiction.

The program envisages events to develop the international legal framework in the CIS, improve and harmonize the national legislations, joint complex and coordinated ministerial preventive and investigative measures and special operations as well as information and scientific support of cooperation, collaboration in training personnel and enhancement of qualifications of specialists.
