The EU did not attach any conditions to the suspension of the visa sanctions against Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Andrei Savinykh told media.
“We view the lifting of the sanctions as an absolutely natural and reasonable step, which is an important prerequisite for mutually respectful dialogue. We believe that we can resolve the differences only through dialogue,” Andrei Savinykh said.
When asked whether Vladimir Makei plans to attend the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership member states in Brussels in July, Andrei Savinykh said: “The issue is under consideration. The decision will be announced later.”
