Belarus-Russia ministerial consultations to discuss the two countries’ positions on human rights have been held in Minsk, we learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
The Belarusian delegation was led by Yuri Ambrazevich, head of the main department for multilateral diplomacy of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry; the Russian delegation was chaired by Konstantin Dolgov, Special Representative for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The parties discussed topical issues of the international agenda, the state and prospects of cooperation in human rights in bilateral and multilateral formats.
Belarus and Russia shared best practices in promoting human rights within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations. They agreed to harmonize their approaches to the matters related to violation of human rights in third countries.
