Belarusian truckers eager to export more services

In 2013 the Belarusian Association of International Road Carriers BAMAP intends to raise revenues from exporting services of Belarusian trucking companies by at least 18% in comparison with 2012. The information was released by Nikolai Verkhovets, BAMAP Deputy Director General, at the press conference held on 21 May and timed to the general meeting of BAMAP members.
In 2012 the export of services, the surplus of foreign trade, and fixed-capital investments continued growing. Last year revenues from exporting automobile transportation services exceeded 13.6% in comparison with 2011.“It was the first time automobile transportation services topped the list of all the services rendered to foreign consumers,” said BAMAP President Nikolai Borovoi. He added that the surplus of the foreign trade in international automobile transport services totaled $670.4 million in 2012, 24% of the total surplus of the country’s foreign trade in services, the second largest figure after pipeline transport.
