The international puppetry festival "Puppets over the Neman" will be held in Grodno on 10-13 May.
Twelve puppet theaters from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine have confirmed their participation in the festival.
The program includes nine performances for children and three for young and adult audience. Young viewers will see the performance "The Magic Paintbrush" by the Mogilev puppet theater, the winner of the Second Belarus National Theatre Award 2012 (best performance for children nomination).
The festival has the Grand Prix and six nominations, among them are Best Director, Best Art Director and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Puppetry Production.
The puppetry festival in Grodno, a city with the oldest theatrical traditions in Belarus, is expected to become an annual event.
