Belarus’ exports to China up 3 times in Q1 2013

        In January-March 2013 Belarus’ exports of goods to China totaled $255.5 million, up almost 3 times on the same months a year ago, according to the State Customs Committee of Belarus. In Q1 2013 Chinese imports to Belarus grew 39%.
The State Customs Committee of Belarus reported an increase in the Belarusian exports to the UK: a total of $221.5 million. Belarus’ demonstrated positive dynamics in its trade with Italy, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
       In January-March 2013 Belarus’ foreign trade in goods totaled $19.7 billion, down 14.5%, compared to the same period the year before. Belarus’ exports totaled $9.6 billion, down 19.9% on the same months of 2012. Belarus reduced its imports by 8.8% to $10.2 billion.
Belarus’ main trading partners among the non-CIS countries include the Netherlands, Germany, China, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, and the UK.
