A branch of the Department of Information and Computer Systems Design of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) has opened at Computer System Institute (CSI, Illinois, USA) upon the initiative of the U.S. side. CSI President Ella Zibitsker and the BSUIR Rector signed a cooperation agreement in providing education services to U.S. residents.
The U.S. branch will use the training facilities of the CSI to provide integrated (full-time + distant) training to U.S. residents in mobile systems design. This major will be available on the Faculty of Computer-Aided Design this year.
Educational standards for this major have been developed by concerted effort of the Education Ministry and the BSUIR. It is important that these standards meet the requirements of the both countries. We have also come up with education curricula, schedules and programs, tasks and seminars. The Belarusian side will be responsible for the training and tutorial materials and coordination of special courses, for example, the history of Belarus.
